Kekeli Haborbor Arts Center
The Kekeli Haborbor Arts Center is a women-led livelihood and education initiative developed in partnership with the Mafi community in Ghana. This partnership was a continuation of our Mafi Gborkofe education initiatives, this time focusing on the adult women in the community to provide a path for education and empowerment. The center provides a permanent space where women self-run the business, training, resources, and generate sustainable income through traditional arts and crafts.
By supporting skill development and economic independence, the project strengthens families and creates long-term opportunity. Kekeli, meaning brightness, reflects Global Hope Alliance’s commitment to locally led solutions and lasting community partnerships.

Avelebe Community Project (Ghana)
The Avelebe project began as a partnership between Global Hope Alliance (GHA), local leaders, and community members to improve access to education. In 2014, the community worked alongside GHA to construct a three-block primary school, replacing unsafe temporary classrooms.
Since then, the partnership has expanded to include a clean water and sanitation project (2016) and a school library (2020). Avelebe represents the power of sustained collaboration and shared investment in education.

Mafi Gborkofe Education Initiatives
Global Hope Alliance has partnered with the Mafi Gborkofe community for over a decade both with partnering organizations and directly to strengthen access to education through a series of coordinated projects. The partnership began with the construction of a primary school (2010) and expanded to include solar power (2012), a school library (2017), educational materials and computer access (2018), and community education batik center (2023).
By addressing infrastructure, resources, and electricity together, the partnership has created a more effective and sustainable learning environment. Mafi Gborkofe reflects GHA’s long-term commitment to community-led development and holistic educational support.
Library Book Drive Projects
Global Hope Alliance has partnered with African Library Project for many years to support their efforts in changing lives book by book. Our team has collected, sorted, and sent 25 libraries and counting to: Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, and Uganda.
